Service Transformation Consultant (Motor Vehicles)
Remote (with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta)- Local to Alberta

The Motor Vehicle Modernization (MVM) program is replacing a fragmented and aging system with one unified, digital platform — and we’re looking for a Service Transformation Consultant to help lead the charge.

About the Role
As a Service Transformation Consultant, you’ll partner with Transportation and Economic Corridors to deliver digital solutions that improve citizen and business services while reducing red tape and increasing efficiency.
You’ll provide expert advice and hands-on support across:
Organizational design, culture, and capacity building
Policy innovation and service improvement
Roadmap and strategy development
Agile methods and design-led change management
Value articulation for digital investments in public services
Key Responsibilities
Coach leadership and service delivery teams on digital delivery and organizational transformation
Develop frameworks, roadmaps, and business cases for modern digital approaches
Facilitate workshops and strategic conversations to align diverse stakeholder interests
Support capability and culture assessments and growth initiatives
Participate directly in field research, design, architecture, prototyping, and continuous improvement
Connect individual project investments to larger program outcomes and measure what matters
What We’re Looking For
Deep experience with a Motor Vehicle Registry system (MOVES, MOTRIS, TSIS, etc.)
Strong knowledge of the Traffic Safety Act and its Regulations
15+ years leading technical project teams, with at least 10 years supporting Government projects
Expertise in carrier profiling and the delivery of carrier services
Proven ability to translate complex legislation and policy into actionable, user-focused services
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and public sector digital service standards
Independent, results-driven, and collaborative by nature
