Now Hiring: Senior Technical Writer – Cybersecurity | 12-Month Contract
📍 Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2–3 days/week onsite )
📅 Contract Duration: 12 months (strong potential for extension or conversion to full-time)
🕘 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
🔒 Team: Security Incident Management & Response
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join dynamic Cybersecurity Incident Response team. You’ll be at the center of critical investigations and security processes—owning documentation that directly improves how we respond to cyber threats.
This is a hands-on role for a detail-driven communicator who excels at turning complex procedures into accessible documentation for both technical teams and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Create, improve, and maintain technical documents, SOPs, and playbooks
✅ Convert complex procedures into clear, audience-specific documentation
✅ Record and summarize key security incident response meetings
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine knowledge bases
✅ Design visual aids (process diagrams, flowcharts, charts)
✅ Translate operational procedures into audit-ready materials
Must-Have Skills:
8+ years in technical writing (enterprise or security environments)
5+ years experience with SharePoint, Visio, JIRA
Cybersecurity documentation experience (playbooks, workflows, response plans)
Strong verbal/written communication & critical thinking skills
Proven ability to simplify and organize complex technical information
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience writing law enforcement or regulatory documentation
Familiarity with Power BI and MS Office Suite
Public speaking or experience presenting documentation to stakeholders
