Leads and participates in planning, organizing, and providing technical direction in the quality assurance, integration, evaluation, configuration, enhancement, implementation, and lifecycle maintenance of complex computer systems, with a focus on system integration. Provides expert level support for specific systems with respect for their underlying business or operational environment, processes, and workflows. Provides advice and assistance to clients and stakeholders in support of system enhancements and technology roadmaps for applications and services.

Key Accountabilities:
Leads and assists team members in analyzing and resolving business system issues.Provides incident support upon escalation and drives problem resolution in order to minimize system down time and loss of data.Leads and participates in root cause analysis and provides tactical and strategic solutions.Provides advisory and consulting services to management in support of complex system development, changes, or replacements.Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals.Resolves issues that require a cross-functional solution.Provides advice and guidance on technical data management and system administrative issues to ensure maintenance of performance standards.Keeps abreast of emerging computing trends, evolving business processes, external vendor solutions and technology platforms specific to areas of specialization.Developing, writing, automating, documenting, and executing test cases and test scripts, according to established standards, to identify and correct issues or to verify desired functionality.
Education:
Post-secondary diploma in computer sciences, systems engineering, or related field, OR an equivalent combination of relevant extensive experience and training.
Experience:
5 years of experience in systems analysis, integration, or support.3 years of experience in quality assurance or business analysis.Experience gathering, elaborating, and documenting non-functional requirements.Experience writing and contributing to high-quality technical documentation including solution architecture, technical design specifications, and interface control.Experience working with cross-functional teams involving internal and external stakeholders and coordinating in a pressurized project environment.
Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of test leadership, practices, and standards, as well as test case authoring, execution, and defect management.Knowledge in various technologies including software, operating systems, database platforms (MS SQL and / or Oracle), MFT, active directory, middleware, web & COTS applications and reporting environments, as well as various Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).Current knowledge of industry trends and developments, business and systems analysis, testing methodologies, and system life-cycle management.Thorough knowledge of traditional system development methodologies, techniques, and SDLC.Thorough knowledge of business analysis methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques.Knowledge of more recent software development life cycle processes, practices, and techniques, including Agile, SAFe, and DevOps.Knowledge of Project Management processes (PMI PMBOK Guide).Knowledge of Aeronautical Information Management.

Clearly and concisely communicate orally and in writing; including presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Initiate and maintain communication with diverse internal and external colleagues, driving completion of technical deliverables.Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues, experts, clients, and managers at various organizational levels.Strong analytical skills to plan testing, test, determine root cause, and recommend new courses of action for process improvement.Ability to lead, coach, and delegate to team members, and facilitate and contribute to team building.Strong business analysis skills including elicitation and requirements traceability and structuring.Recognize when issues require escalation and follow the appropriate escalation path.

Working conditions:
Hybrid: This position is based at the Ottawa Logistics Center and requires a minimum of one (1) day on-site per week.
