We’re Hiring: Senior SQL Database Administrator (Azure SQL) – Mississauga, ON
We are seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our growing team in Mississauga, ON. This is a full-time, permanent role and a critical backfill—we’re looking to hire ASAP.
If you’re a highly experienced DBA with deep Azure SQL knowledge and hands-on skills managing on-prem SQL Server environments, we want to hear from you!
📍 Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)
🕒 Schedule: 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday–Friday
💼 Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
🔧 What You’ll Do:
Manage and optimize both on-prem SQL Server and Azure SQL (PaaS) environments
Design, configure, and maintain schemas, indexes, stored procedures, and server settings
Lead performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and capacity planning
Implement security policies, manage disaster recovery, and enforce data integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications
Participate in on-call support rotation as needed
✅ What You Bring:
8+ years of enterprise DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Proven expertise in Azure SQL, PaaS services, and hybrid environments
Strong skills in PowerShell scripting, database performance tuning, and DR planning
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities
🎓 Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent
DevOps, Azure Synapse, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and MySQL experience a plus
Knowledge of ITIL practices and SDLC methodologies
