Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (PHP / Laravel + .NET)
Location: Toronto (2 days in office) or Montreal (remote)
Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000 CAD
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 15+ years of experience to architect, design, and build scalable backend services. You’ll lead complex initiatives, mentor other engineers, and work across a modern polyglot stack including PHP (Laravel), .NET Core, JavaScript, TypeScript, and AWS.
What You’ll Do:
Own features end-to-end: design, development, and deployment
Lead technical design discussions and architecture decisions
Mentor engineers through code reviews and best practices
Integrate AI tools into daily development workflows
Drive long-term technical initiatives for platform scalability and reliability
What We’re Looking For:
15+ years of professional software development experience
Expert in PHP (Laravel) (required)
Experience with .NET Core (short ramp-up acceptable for strong PHP candidates)
Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity
Principal Engineer mindset: ownership, leadership, and technical vision
