We’re Hiring: Senior Software Engineer – Java | Cloud Migration (Azure → GCP)
📍 Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite)
🕒 Contract: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Are you a seasoned Java developer with hands-on experience in GCP, Spring Boot, OAuth2, and Kubernetes? We’re working with a major financial institution that’s looking for an experienced Software Engineer to support a critical cloud migration project from Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You’ll join the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) Engineering team responsible for software development and platform migration. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with strong technical skills, cloud knowledge, and the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications
Create and fine-tune RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
Implement secure authentication using OAuth2
Write and optimize complex SQL queries
Work with Kubernetes/Docker in cloud-native environments
Support application migration from Azure to GCP
Conduct system analysis, create test plans, and perform QA reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the full SDLC
✅ Must-Have Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, JSON, and REST API development
10+ years of experience with OAuth2 protocols
10+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Docker
5+ years of experience working on applications hosted on GCP
💡 Nice-to-Have
Experience migrating applications from Azure to GCP
Background in financial services or large-scale enterprise development
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

🎓 Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
