Client: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement Location: 222 Jarvis St, Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Contract Duration: Oct 13, 2025 – Oct 23, 2026 (Probable extension) Hours: 7.25 hours/day Security Clearance: Not required
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to join a dynamic team working on large-scale, multi-client web applications. This role demands deep expertise in Java development, Oracle/SQL databases, and modern frontend technologies like React and Typescript.
What You’ll Do
Translate technical system specifications into tested, working applications
Develop detailed programming specs, write code, compile data-driven programs, and conduct unit tests
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during software use, implementation, and migration
Collaborate across the Software Development Life Cycle with IT professionals
Must-Have Skills & Experience
10+ years designing and developing large-scale multi-client web applications
10+ years hands-on Java development with Oracle or SQL databases
5+ years experience with RestAPI, React, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, NodeJS
Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and core architecture principles
Experience with RXJS, NextJS, VueJS
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Agile methodologies, and security protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL)
Additional Skills (Highly Desirable)
Oracle E-Business Suite customizations and extensions
PL/SQL, SQL tuning, Unix shell scripting, Oracle Data Integrator
Experience with data warehouse, ETL methodologies, OBIEE
Strong communication and leadership skills to oversee technical quality assurance
Soft Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to work effectively in teams and under pressure with tight deadlines
