We’re Hiring: Senior Software Advisor – Software Asset Management (Contract)

Noramtec is seeking a Senior Advisor in Software Asset Management (SAM) to support one of our key clients in establishing and maturing their SAM framework, governance, and operational processes. This is a hybrid role based in Ottawa, ideal for an experienced SAM professional with deep knowledge of ServiceNow, software licensing, and network discovery tools.

Key Responsibilities
Define and implement a long-term SAM strategy (3–5 years) aligned with digital transformation and financial objectives.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive SAM governance model and framework.
Leverage ServiceNow and discovery tools (e.g., SCCM) for end-to-end software lifecycle management.
Integrate SAM data with financial planning, budgeting, and procurement processes.
Collaborate with Finance, Cybersecurity, Procurement, and FinOps to ensure transparency and alignment.
Manage vendor relationships, software contracts, and conduct QBRs for continuous improvement.
Act as a mentor and change leader, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity.
Ensure data accuracy and alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
Embed SAM expertise into organizational practices through effective succession planning.

What You Bring
Must-Have Skills:
Proven expertise in ServiceNow SAM and network discovery tools (e.g., SCCM).
Strong understanding of software licensing, SaaS models, and contract negotiation.
Experience integrating SAM with Finance, Cybersecurity, and ITSM systems.
Minimum 7 years of experience in SAM or a related ITAM discipline.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide change initiatives.

Nice-to-Haves:
Bilingual in English and French.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CSAM).
Experience with tools such as SharePoint, ServiceNow, and SCCM.
