Senior Security Platform Engineer

Hiring: Senior Security Platform Engineer (Contract) Hybrid – Toronto, ON – 1 day onsite preferred (remote possible for exceptional candidates) Role Highlights: Lead deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of HashiCorp Vault across Kubernetes/OpenShift Design and maintain authentication/authorization integrations Configure secrets engines (KV, PKI, database, transit) Drive automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools Support platform operations—monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis Implement and uphold enterprise-grade security controls Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and infrastructure teams Contribute to Agile delivery, documentation, and audit readiness What We’re Looking For: 5–7+ years in security engineering Strong background in cryptography, PKI, and secure platform architecture Hands-on experience with Vault, containerization, and Linux Solid understanding of networking (TLS, load balancing, ingress) Experience with Python scripting, REST APIs, Git workflows Cloud fundamentals (AWS or Azure) Nice to Have: Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, etc.), cloud security experience, and exposure to security visibility/monitoring tools
