Senior Project Manager
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (On-site)
Contract | Open to Canadian Contractors
$650 – $900 per day
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Leader to support the Immunization Repository Consolidation, a large-scale, high-profile, and complex healthcare IT initiative within the Ontario Public Sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project delivery ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Manage stakeholder relationships across ministries, executives, and external partners
Develop and maintain Integrated Project Plans (IPP), schedules, budgets, and forecasts
Oversee risk, issue, and change management processes, including reporting to senior leadership
Lead cross-functional teams including unionized staff and consultants
Drive business transformation, adoption planning, and organizational change management
Ensure compliance with OPS I&IT standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks
Prepare executive-level reports, briefings, and presentations
Monitor project progress, critical paths, and performance metrics
Required Experience & Skills
Public Sector / Healthcare (5+ years)
Experience with Ontario public sector or healthcare IT environments
Knowledge of eHealth Ontario systems and digital health standards
Familiarity with OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology and gating processes
Experience with large-scale, complex healthcare IT implementations
Technical Expertise (5–9 years)
Data migration strategies (ETL, replication, API integrations)
Digital health standards (HL7 FHIR)
Information security, access control, and authentication
Tools: MS Project, Planview, Jira, Confluence
Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
Core Project Management
Proven experience delivering complex, mission-critical IT projects
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control
Expertise in stakeholder management and executive communication
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and vendors
PMP certification required
