Senior Project Manager

#hiring for a Senior Project Manager (Audit Remediation & Patching Centre of Excellence) for a TOP5 Bank in Canada – Through one of the World’s Largest Provider of IT Services/Solutions!
[*12 months contract, Hybrid to Toronto, ON]

MUST HAVES:
1. Project / Program Management
· 8+ years of project management experience
· Financial services / banking experience strongly preferred
· Experience managing audit remediation, regulatory response, or compliance-driven programs
· Strong ability to turn ambiguous scope into a structured project plan with owners, timelines, risks, and deliverables
· PMP preferred but not mandatory if they have strong equivalent experience

2. Audit / Regulatory / Governance Experience
· Must have experience driving audit remediation or regulatory response initiatives
· Understands how to prepare evidence packages, management responses, sign-offs, and documentation for audit review
· Ability to ensure remediation activities are exam-ready and defensible
· Experience with IT controls, patch management governance, infrastructure governance, or technology risk is a strong asset

3. COE / Governance Function Experience
· Experience standing up or transitioning to a Centre of Excellence is highly preferred
· Must be able to design governance cadence, meeting rhythms, reporting cycles, escalation paths, and ownership models
· Experience creating structure where there was previously a federated / decentralized model
