Job Title: Senior Program Manager
Location:Ontario, Canada. Fully Remote

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with deep expertise in FHIR architecture and implementation to lead strategic advisory work on advancing interoperability and harmonizing legacy Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned expert with a passion for digital health transformation, who can deliver architectural guidance, support standards alignment, and enhance FHIR training capacity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide architectural guidance for the client’s interoperability strategy
Contribute to pan-Canadian specification co-design and digital health alignment
Advise on SMART on FHIR, FHIR Subscriptions, FHIR SDC, and other interoperability protocols
Conduct gap analyses and current-state assessments
Support and deliver recorded and live training on advanced FHIR topics
Must-Have Qualifications
15+ years in health data exchange architecture (national/jurisdictional)
10+ years in FHIR design, architecture, and implementation
Expertise in SMART on FHIR, FHIR Structured Data Capture, and pan-Canadian standards
Extensive experience with HL7 data types and tooling
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and time management skills
5+ years delivering training on advanced FHIR topics
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with Ontario’s EHR systems
Experience with Microsoft cloud tools (e.g., Office 365)
Analytical and strategic thinking with a collaborative approach
Ability to anticipate and mitigate implementation risks
