Senior Performance Test Engineer

Job Opportunity: Senior Performance Test Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Toronto, Hybrid)
Location: Toronto, Ontario (2 days in the office per week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
We are looking for a skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer to join their I&IT Development & Delivery team for a 6-month contract role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in migrating 25+ home-grown applications to Azure Cloud while ensuring the applications’ performance remains optimal and meets critical requirements.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute performance test plans, ensuring applications perform under varying loads.
Design, develop, and implement performance test cases across multiple messaging protocols (including HTTP, REST, SOAP).
Conduct integration, stress, load, and regression testing to validate stability and performance.
Drive performance improvements towards a CI/CD pipeline for continuous delivery.
Perform real-time performance testing, focusing on minimizing latency, maximizing throughput, and ensuring system stability.
Cloud Performance Testing: Leverage your expertise with Azure and other cloud technologies for scalability and optimization.

Skills & Experience Required:
5+ years of experience in performance testing and automation tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Selenium.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Hands-on experience with Real-Time Data Technologies and low-latency optimization.
3+ years working with Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, ReadyAPI and cloud performance testing.
