Are you a seasoned Java Developer with a passion for building large-scale enterprise applications? One of Canada’s Top 5 Banks is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their hybrid team in Toronto on a long-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on critical applications in the Deposits domain, supporting key initiatives like regulatory compliance (HISA / Low Cost-No Cost Accounts) and platform modernization.
🔍 What You’ll Do
Work on full-stack development (approx. 70% backend / 30% frontend)
Develop and maintain a key application (Savings Account Interlink Application)
Participate in all phases of the SDLC within an Agile environment
Support testing, deployments, and troubleshooting
Contribute to technical design and discussion
Integrate REST APIs and update business rules/UI logic
✅ What You Bring
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years of development experience (preferably in financial services)
5+ years with Java
2–3 years of experience with REST APIs using Spring Boot
2+ years with the JSP framework
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with WebSphere
Background working on large-scale enterprise applications
Familiarity with Agile environments
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork
Analytical thinker and fast learner
Independent problem solver
