We’re Hiring: Senior Java Architect (eCommerce)
📍 Remote-first within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
🕘 Hybrid model – in-office presence once per month
Are you a seasoned Java Architect with a passion for designing scalable, secure, and innovative eCommerce platforms? We’re looking for a hands-on leader to shape the architecture of mission-critical systems across customer management, order processing, and online retail.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
Lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native eCommerce solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into sustainable architectures.
Architect microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals.
Mentor developers and influence architecture across teams.
Drive DevOps, CI/CD adoption, and modern engineering best practices.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
Present architectural strategy to senior stakeholders and leadership.
🧩 What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of hands-on Java/JEE experience.
5+ years of Spring Boot/MVC experience.
Strong background in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Docker/Kubernetes.
Proven expertise in microservices and event-driven architectures.
Experience in retail or eCommerce platforms preferred.
Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git, SQL/NoSQL, and secure application design.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across levels.
Experience mentoring developers and/or architects.
Agile/Scrum mindset with an eye for innovation and quality.
💡 Bonus:
Experience integrating with ERP, CRM, or data platforms.
Previous exposure to architecture governance, enterprise patterns, or cross-domain system design.
