Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager – Banking / Financial Services
Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office, moving to 4 days/week)
Employment Type: Contract (Feb 2, 2026 – May 31, 2026) – possibility of extension and conversion to full-time based on performance
Compensation: 84-97/hr (INC)

What You’ll Do
Lead cross-functional teams of developers, business analysts, and technical experts to deliver innovative software solutions.
Collaborate with architecture groups to design, implement, and maintain scalable applications.
Assess technical issues, anticipate challenges, and proactively provide solutions.
Ensure high-quality product delivery by identifying and eliminating technical debt.
Participate in design discussions, roadmap planning, and modernization strategies aligned with enterprise standards.
Communicate complex technical information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Mentor team members and enforce best practices across project lifecycles.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years of IT Project Management experience, including leading enterprise-scale projects.
3+ years of recent experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
Strong technical background: familiarity with software design patterns and ability to review code.
3–5 years of experience in banking or financial services as a Delivery Lead or Project/Program Manager.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Proven experience building globally scalable financial products and defining product roadmaps.
Nice-to-Have:
Hands-on software engineering experience (full-stack, object-oriented programming, scripting).
Experience modernizing legacy systems or leading transformational initiatives.
Familiarity with UX best practices.
Previous exposure to bank development projects is a strong asset.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Detail-oriented with high standards for quality.
Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment.
Proactive, results-driven, customer-focused, and an excellent team player.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
PMP certification is a strong asset.
