🚨 Hiring: Senior Information Security Advisor 🚨
I’m working on a contract opportunity for a Senior Information Security Advisor to support enterprise security advisory services, threat/risk assessments, and cloud security controls within a major banking environment.
📍 Location: Scarborough – Hybrid, onsite 2x/week
⏳ Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension
💰 Rate: $65/hr Incop

What you’ll be working on:
• Providing information security advisory services to business lines across the organization
• Acting as a central point of reference for security policies, standards, risk controls, and data protection
• Completing threat and risk assessments across complex data, application, cloud, and networking environments
• Advising on secure and cost-effective implementation of security controls
• Supporting projects, initiatives, and business teams in making informed security risk decisions
• Helping improve security governance, compliance, and internal control processes

Must-have experience:
• 8+ years of experience as an IT Security Analyst, Security Advisor, or similar role
• 5+ years of recent hands-on cloud security controls experience, ideally with GCP and/or Azure
• Strong experience with cloud architecture security and secure deployments
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with security controls and threat/risk assessment techniques
• Experience with security technologies such as IAM, PKI, intrusion prevention, vulnerability assessments, or related security mechanisms

Nice to have:
• Financial services security governance experience
• Knowledge of OSFI or other financial industry regulatory guidelines
• Experience with Agile, Lean, Rapid Labs, or accelerated delivery frameworks
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GSEC, CISA, or CISM
