Your future duties and responsibilities

•Strategic Partner: You are a trusted advisor partnering with client groups within our business unit. By providing essential HR programs, tools, and information, you’ll help these leaders build, develop, and lead their organizations effectively.

•Program Innovator: You will collaborate with colleagues across Western Canada to execute people-related programs, policies, and initiatives successfully. Your focus? Engagement at all levels within your assigned client groups, the Western Business Unit, and Canada HR.

•HR Thought Leader: You will partner with HR peers nationwide to ensure seamless service delivery. By sharing best practices, you will contribute to everyone’s success. Your ability to leverage data and research to tell a compelling story will ensure you are able to influence our strategic direction.

•HR Consulting: You will apply your expertise in legislation, employment law, and best practices to ensure that leaders are equipped to navigate employee relations while maintaining compliance with employment standards legislation and company policies to achieve delivery excellence across HR domains. In addition, you will act as a liaison between our employees, the HR Shared Services Team, and Centers of Excellence. When employee queries go beyond day-to-day issues, you’ll step in to assist.

 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

•HR Generalist Experience: You bring at least 5-10 years of HR generalist experience, thriving in a high-volume, rapidly changing environment.

•Education and Expertise: A post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, professional designation, and/or equivalent HR experience is essential.

•Data and Research: You enjoy bringing perspective to key stakeholders by using data, research, and professional expertise in order to achieve progress.

•Interpersonal Strength: Your ability to cultivate trusted relationships across teams and organizational levels sets you apart.

•Consultative Approach: You will apply your knowledge and experience in a consultative manner, while also demonstrating an ability to anticipate the needs of the business and influence decisions.

•Multi-Domain Knowledge: You are experienced and/or familiar with the various HR domains and areas of expertise.

•Collaborative Mindset: Work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders, fostering a collaborative approach.

•Workshop Facilitation: Capable of facilitating workshops, you’ll engage and inspire others.

•Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

•Technical Proficiency: You are proficient with Microsoft Office suite, HR systems, and other relevant tools.

•IT Consulting Experience (Bonus): Previous exposure to an IT consulting environment is an asset.
