Are you a Senior GIS Developer looking for a impactful role upgrading enterprise geospatial platforms? We are hiring a Senior GIS / VertiGIS Developer to lead application modernization and upgrade legacy Geocortex applications to the next-generation VertiGIS platform.

📌 Role Details
Position: Senior GIS / VertiGIS Software Developer
Contract Duration: 7 Months (Opportunity for extension)
Location: Toronto, ON / Peterborough, ON (Onsite)
Rate: $85.00 – $95.00 / hr

🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lead technical design, development, and modernization of 18+ business-critical geospatial applications from Geocortex to VertiGIS.
Integrate solutions with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, portal technologies, geoprocessing services, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
Build and support web-based GIS applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, HTML5, CSS, and .NET/C#.
Ensure system stability, performance optimization, AODA accessibility compliance, and adherence to enterprise IT standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders through all stages of the SDLC.

🔑 Must-Have Qualifications
GIS Suites: Expertise with VertiGIS, Geocortex, Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Notebooks, ArcPro SDK), and FME.
Development & Scripting: Strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, .NET, REST / JSON APIs, and SQL.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, GIS infrastructure, and microservices architecture.
Documentation & Leadership: Proven experience producing installation guides, build books, technical specs, and providing SDLC project leadership.
