🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Front-End Developer (Remote | Canada | 12-Month Contract)
📍 Location: Remote (Canada-based candidates only; occasional travel to Edmonton, AB)
📅 Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension up to 24 months)

💲 Rate: $90/hour CAD
About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join a major digital modernization initiative within a large-scale enterprise environment. You’ll play a key role in building accessible, scalable, and user-friendly front-end applications that will positively impact public-facing digital services.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about user-centered design, modern UI frameworks, and contributing to projects that make a meaningful difference.
Your Key Responsibilities
✅ Design and develop engaging, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces
✅ Build dynamic, cross-platform web and mobile apps using React and React Native
✅ Work closely with designers to implement UX/UI best practices and accessibility standards
✅ Collaborate with backend developers and architects for seamless API integrations
✅ Participate in Agile ceremonies and use Dual-Track Development approaches
✅ Ensure performance, maintainability, and security of front-end code
✅ Lead code reviews and contribute to reusable component libraries
✅ Maintain technical documentation and support onboarding for new developers

Databases: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB
Cloud & Tools: Azure App Services, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines
What You Bring
🔹 8+ years in front-end development
🔹 Solid understanding of user-centered design, accessibility, and UI/UX best practices
🔹 Hands-on experience with mobile and responsive web app development
🔹 Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern JS frameworks
🔹 Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
🔹 Strong collaboration, documentation, and Agile development skills
Nice to Have
✨ Familiarity with AI-powered front-end tools
✨ Experience modernizing legacy systems
✨ Knowledge of Dual-Track Agile and CI/CD
✨ Previous work in government or large-scale organizational environments

💡 Must be legally eligible to work and currently reside in Canada
💡 Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, AB may be required (travel at candidate’s cost)
