Senior Drupal Developer

Quarry Consulting Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Drupal Developer for one of our clients.

Role: Senior Drupal Developer
Type: Contract – Remote (Ontario Candidates Only)
Duration: ASAP to Dec. 2025 (possible extensions)

The Senior Drupal Web Developer is a subject matter expert responsible for developing and maintaining tools and services across the Enterprise. This role consults with business teams to guide web design and processes, and manages products using best practices and modern technologies like Drupal and JavaScript frameworks. It also includes building and maintaining DevOps pipelines to support system development and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborates across teams to implement changes, fix bugs, and perform maintenance on web platforms.
– Provides guidance on information architecture best practices based on business needs.
– Acts as a senior developer, managing tasks using Jira, DevOps, etc.
– Designs and implements modern UX-focused solutions for web applications.
– Reviews and improves code for performance and efficiency.
– Develops, tests, and deploys in automated DevOps environments using Git, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
– Leads production support and builds new applications in partnership with business teams.
– Prioritizes workloads, manages issue intake, and escalates as needed.
– Writes clean, scalable code; reviews, debugs, and troubleshoots as required.
– Meets regularly with managers to track project progress.
– Improves existing programs for better performance and efficiency.
– Deploys software systems and recommends enhancements.
– Responds to user feedback to improve the user experience.
– Maintains software and ensures security compliance.
– Creates technical documentation and training materials.
– Stays current on industry trends and new technologies.
– Participates in Agile team meetings to promote continuous improvement.

Requirements
– 5 to 8 years as a Drupal Developer
– Solid understanding of web architectures, user-centric design, and usability testing
– Strong proficiency with Drupal site building and configuration
– Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
– Building test scripts, deployment scripts
– Docker OR VirtualBox
