Hiring: Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer
📍 Toronto (404 & Steeles) | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite
⏳ 6-Month Contract (to start)
💲 Pay Rate: $95/hour

We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to support an enterprise-scale DevOps, cloud migration, and security tooling initiative within a complex banking environment. This role is hands-on and focuses heavily on application management, CI/CD integration, cloud enablement, and DevOps tool administration.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Set up, configure, and enhance DevOps and security tools
Integrate DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines from Scotiabank into TNG
Manage the DevOps and Release pillar, owning application lifecycle management
Administer and support 10–15 applications concurrently
Perform on-prem to cloud / SaaS migrations
Support Google Cloud Platform (GCP) initiatives, including application migrations and pipeline integrations
Strengthen security controls within CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments
Introduce new tools such as GitHub Actions
Perform application upgrades, administration, and ongoing maintenance
Provide day-to-day support for existing and new projects

🧠 Must-Have Requirements
6+ years of experience in DevOps tooling and cloud migrations
Proven experience with on-prem to SaaS / cloud migration
Expert-level CI/CD pipeline development and integration
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Deep expertise in Jenkins (pipeline design, integration, troubleshooting)
Strong understanding of application lifecycle and release management

🛠️ Tool Administration (Must Have – Experience with Any 3+)
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, securing, and maintaining DevOps tools such as:
Jenkins
GitHub / GitHub Actions
JIRA
Confluence
Artifactory
SonarQube
Checkmarx
BlackDuck
Including:
Vulnerability management
Tool upgrades and patching
Performance and stability monitoring

🔐 Access Management & Integration
Managing user roles, permissions, and access controls
Integrations with SSO / identity providers
Ensuring seamless integration with:
CI/CD pipelines
Issue tracking tools
Enterprise workflows

Supporting and training engineering teams on DevOps tools
Creating documentation, standards, and best practices
Evaluating new DevOps and developer productivity tools
Building business cases and assisting with funding approvals
License usage and cost optimization
Governance and best practices, including:
Branching strategies
Code reviews

Jira workflows
