Contract Opportunity: Senior Data Science Developer (Azure, Databricks, Python) – Hybrid in Toronto
📍 Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite )
📅 Duration: 6 Months (with likely extension)

We’re hiring a Senior Data Science Developer to join a cross-functional Agile team focused on delivering scalable data lake and lakehouse solutions using Azure and Databricks.
🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, build, and maintain cloud-based data lake and lakehouse platforms
Develop robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Modernize legacy systems and support migration to Delta Lake architecture
Apply medallion architecture principles and collaborate on CI/CD pipelines
Participate in peer code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfers
Work with stakeholders across IT and business units to align data solutions
🧰 Tech Stack & Skills:
✅ 5+ years experience in:
Azure Data Engineering (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse)
Databricks (including Unity Catalog is a plus)
Python & SQL scripting
Lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, medallion model)
GitHub, CI/CD, Agile development workflows
💬 Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are key.
🏛️ Public Sector experience preferred but not required.
