Senior Data Engineer (Azure / Power BI)
Location: On-site Mon-Fri Downtown Toronto
Contract: 11 months with renewal
Rate: $100/hr
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to deliver scalable data solutions and visually impactful analytics for a major healthcare initiative. This role focuses on Azure Synapse pipelines, Power BI dashboards, and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.

What You’ll Do:
Design, build, and optimize Azure Synapse data pipelines
Develop mobile-enabled Power BI dashboards and reports
Collaborate with business, product, and DevOps teams
Translate business needs into intuitive, scalable solutions
Troubleshoot performance and technical issues

Must-Have Skills:
5+ years with Azure Synapse, Data Modeling, and Power BI
Strong experience with Power BI optimization and user-focused design (portfolio required)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and d3.js
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Nice to Have: Power BI Embedded, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Stream Analytics, SQL, Agile experience
