Senior Data Engineer

URGENT HIRING – Senior Data Engineer | Asset Management + Snowflake + Cloud Data Platforms | Toronto Hybrid – Insurance Client
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a 1-year contract supporting a brand-new, multi-year data platform initiative with a leading institutional asset management organization.
📍 Toronto – Hybrid, 3 days onsite (Tue/Wed/Thu)
📅 1-year contract with potential extension
Key requirements:
7+ years of Data Engineering experience
Direct Asset Management experience strongly preferred; Wealth Management or Capital Markets may also be considered
Strong Snowflake experience and modern cloud data platform expertise
Strong Python, SQL and cloud engineering skills
Experience building enterprise data pipelines/platforms and end-to-end data solutions
Exposure to trading systems/process flows; BlackRock Aladdin experience is highly valuable
Senior/Lead experience, including mentoring engineers or leading projects/initiatives
AWS/Azure/GCP experience
Curious and adaptable toward AI-driven engineering. Ref: 2427
