Senior Data & AI Strategy Consultant (IMT)
Remote – Canada (Preference for Alberta) | Occasional Onsite in Edmonton Contract Opportunity
Salary $50 to $75.00 per hour

The client is seeking a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to support the client initiative a major group program focused on building a data ecosystem that enables better data sharing, analytics, AI, and innovation across ministries.
This role will support the Data Centre of Excellence in designing and delivering modern data and AI services that empower government teams to leverage data for smarter decision-making and improved services for end users.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will work closely with senior leaders and technical teams to help design and deliver enterprise data capabilities, including:
• Leading strategy and service design for data and AI platforms
• Supporting the roadmap and ecosystem
• Designing data service offerings for analytics, AI, ML, and data exchange
• Facilitating cross-collaboration and executive discussions
• Developing roadmaps, frameworks, and briefing materials for senior leadership
• Delivering presentations, roadshows, and demos to promote adoption
• Advising product and platform teams through the full project lifecycle
• Supporting innovation across:
Data platforms
Advanced analytics
Generative & agentic AI
Data management services
DevSecOps in data environments

Mandatory Experience
7+ years in IMT service design and delivery
5+ years in strategic data management
5+ years in strategic planning and business analysis
5+ years integrating AI and advanced analytics
3+ years of project management and change management
3+ years stakeholder engagement and facilitation

• Remote within Canada (must work from Canada)
• Occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton (3–4 times per year, expenses not covered)
• Background check required
