Hiring: Senior Business Analyst – Life Insurance (Contract)
📍 Toronto, ON | Hybrid (3 days onsite – Mon/Tue/Thu at 250 Yonge St)
⏳ 6-month initial contract | Long-term engagement (up to 2–3 years)
💰 Pay Rate: $90–95/hr

We are partnering with a leading Canadian life insurance provider to hire a Senior Business Analyst with deep Life Insurance domain experience. This role is highly business-focused and ideal for professionals who understand the end-to-end operational workflow of a life insurance policy.

⚠️ Important: This position is only open to candidates who are currently located in Canada. Candidates must also have 7+ years of Life Insurance experience. Profiles without this background will not be considered.

🔍 About the Role
This is a strategic, senior-level BA engagement, supporting enterprise initiatives across digital transformation, policy administration systems, and regulatory programs. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

💼 Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end business analysis for large-scale initiatives
Collaborate with business, operations, and IT stakeholders
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions
Perform current vs. future state analysis, gap analysis, and root cause analysis
Develop BRDs, user stories, process flows, and use cases
Support QA/UAT, ensuring requirements are traceable and testable
Engage with vendors and support platform evaluations (RFP/RFI)

✅ Must-Have Experience
7–10+ years of Business Analysis experience in Life Insurance
Strong understanding of:
Life insurance products (Term, Whole Life, Universal Life)
Underwriting, policy administration, and claims workflows
Experience working in regulated environments
Strong distinction as a business-focused BA (not technical-heavy)

🌟 Nice to Have
Experience with Sapiens, Guidewire, or similar insurance platforms
Exposure to enterprise system modernization initiatives
Tools: Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI

Strong command of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Self-directed, consultative approach in fast-paced environments
