Senior Business Analyst

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in healthcare systems and enterprise IT environments to join a high-impact initiative focused on supporting and enhancing critical provincial solutions.
Location: Downtown, Toronto
Rate: Open (negotiable)
Length of contract: 17 months with possible extension

Role:
Lead and deliver end-to-end business analysis across the full project lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, gaps, and opportunities
Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable documentation for technical teams
Drive business process improvements and support transformation initiatives
Support data migration, defect analysis, and system enhancements
Work closely with development, QA, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery
Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses
Contribute to training materials, user documentation, and operational guides
Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide expert-level problem resolution

Experience:
5+ years of business analysis experience in healthcare environments
Strong knowledge of systems such as:
Long-Term Care systems
Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
Clinical assessment and reporting tools
Hands-on experience with:
Business process modeling & data flow analysis
Requirements gathering & documentation
Gap analysis and impact assessments
Data quality and data governance practices
Experience supporting production environments, including troubleshooting and proactive analysis
Understanding of Ontario healthcare standards, including legislative and accessibility requirements (AODA, ODS)
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and modern IT delivery frameworks

Required:
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven experience leading workshops, working groups, and SME discussions
A proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
