Business Analyst (2 Openings) — Hybrid (Winnipeg, MB)

Type: Contract · Term: 12 months (with extension options) · Hours: 36.25/week · Onsite: ~60%

About the roles

We’re hiring two experienced Business Analysts to support IT and business teams with process analysis, requirements, and solution delivery.

BA #1: Heavily project-execution and process-implementation focused.
BA #2: Greater emphasis on business relationship management (BRM) and strategic alignment between IT and business lines.

What you’ll do

Analyze current-state processes; document workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
Lead requirements elicitation (interviews, workshops) and translate needs into clear, testable requirements.
Produce BA artefacts: process models, user stories/use cases, functional/non-functional specs.
Manage the requirements lifecycle from definition through validation and implementation.
Evaluate solution options, articulate trade-offs, and recommend approaches that deliver measurable value.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across IT and business.
Prepare presentations, reports, and training materials to support change and adoption.
Ensure alignment with corporate policies, standards, and governance.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Business (or equivalent experience).
10+ years in IT, including 5+ years as a Business Analyst (requirements + process modeling).
Experience in at least two IT domains: BRM, Application Development, Project Management, QA, Infrastructure/Maintenance & Support.

Core skills (must-have)

Business analysis methods & tools; planning BA activities and stakeholder engagement.
Modeling requirements, defining requirements architecture, and assessing solution value.
Relationship building, organization, and multi-priority delivery.
Ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences; strong customer service and presentation skills.

Nice to have

Experience with Confluence, Jira, SharePoint (requirements & collaboration).
Experience with Business Opportunity Analysis / Intake (particularly relevant to BA #2).
IIBA CBAP certification.
Familiarity with IT contracts and contract management.
