We’re Hiring: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (Contract)
📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days in Office) | 💼 Contract

We’re looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS services, cloud automation, and infrastructure as code. This is a 9–12 month contract role with high visibility and the opportunity to collaborate with talented engineers and developers.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
Design and implement scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
Automate deployments and infrastructure scaling across distributed systems
Manage core AWS services: ECS, ELB, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, WAF, Route53, and more
Configure and monitor with tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, New Relic, Sumo Logic
Work closely with DevOps, development, and security teams
Support system uptime and performance as part of a two-week on-call rotation
🧠 What You Bring:
9+ years of software/cloud engineering experience
7+ years hands-on with AWS services
Strong scripting and programming: Python, Shell, JavaScript, PHP
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, performance optimization, and cloud security best practices
CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, GitOps, containerization, etc.)
Previous experience with Apache/Nginx, performance monitoring, and incident response
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation (every 2 weeks)
