Job Opportunity: Senior Automation Specialist – 24-Month Contract | Hybrid in Montreal
We’re hiring a Senior Automation Specialist for a leading enterprise project in Montreal! If you’re an expert in Python, Terraform, and AWS, and you’re passionate about cloud automation and infrastructure, this role is for you.
🔹 Contract Length: 24 months
🔹 Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite in Montreal
🔹 Start Date: ASAP
🔹 Work Structure: 37.5 hours/week – no on-call
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Python
Manage and optimize AWS environments (Autoscaling, Migration from VMWare)
Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Implement automation solutions with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Develop and integrate APIs to enhance interoperability
Apply Agile practices to deliver efficient, scalable solutions
✅ Required Experience
10+ years in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years in senior system roles
Expert Python scripting for automation
Deep hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS
Experience with Ansible, API development, and CI/CD
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Windows/RedHat environments
Proven track record in large-scale enterprise or public-sector projects
🌐 Additional Tech Stack (Nice to Have)
PowerShell, Active Directory (Kerberos/NTLM), Entra ID, Microsoft 365
Security tools: CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, SailPoint, ForgeRock
Knowledge of Citrix, VMware, Commvault, Windows Server Hardening
💬 Languages
Bilingual – French and English
Conversational fluency required in both (written skills less important)
This is a high-visibility role on a critical modernization project, with the potential to convert to full-time.
