🚨 NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY | Senior API Developer – Cloud Migration & Modernization 🚨 |Toronto/Scarborough | Contract

Looking for experienced API Developers who have worked on large-scale modernization, cloud migration, and microservices environments.
This role is focused on helping drive a major software currency modernization initiative, migrating existing Azure / PCF applications into a Google Cloud ecosystem (Atlas).

📍 Location: Scarborough, ON (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)
🕘 Schedule: Mon–Fri | 37.5 hrs/week
💰 Rate: $65–$70/hr/hr. Incop

What you’ll be doing:
✔ Lead migration of Azure / PCF applications to GCP (Atlas)
✔ Refactor applications for cloud-native scalability & performance
✔ Work with REST APIs, Microservices & API Gateways
✔ Update CI/CD pipelines & deployment processes
✔ Support architecture modernization initiatives
✔ Troubleshoot performance issues & production defects
✔ Collaborate with Architects, DevOps & Engineering teams
✔ Mentor developers and contribute to technical direction

Must-Have Experience:
🔹 8+ years as an API Developer
🔹 Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs & Microservices
🔹 Experience with API Gateway architecture
🔹 Recent GCP + Kubernetes experience
🔹 Exposure to Azure or PCF environments
🔹 Strong debugging & performance optimization skills
🔹 Agile enterprise delivery experience

Nice to Have:
➕ Cloud-to-cloud migration experience
➕ Monitoring tools: Dynatrace / Splunk
➕ Previous experience within major banking environments
➕ Modernization or software currency projects
