Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension & conversion to full-time)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role:
Join a leading Top 5 Canadian Bank’s Cloud & Platform Engineering team as a Security Governance Analyst supporting Application Security (AppSec) and Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) initiatives. You will be pivotal in managing audit and regulatory tracking, driving closure of security risks, and ensuring compliance with bank policies.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across multiple teams, enhance your expertise in security governance, and contribute to a high-visibility program.
What You’ll Do:
Define and document business processes; develop trackers for audit and regulatory findings
Support review and triage of security issues in AppSec and CNAPP spaces
Manage exception and exemption requests related to security policies
Drive mitigation plans to close security risks and audit findings
Develop and deliver training materials to enhance security awareness
Maintain communication channels across teams and store project documentation
Support the implementation and evaluation of regulatory and audit responses
Must-Have Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
5+ years of project management experience, including tracking, documentation, and governance reporting
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables) and strong PowerPoint presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in Application Security or Cloud Security
Experience in financial services or banking industry
Background in governance, audit, or regulatory environments
Experience in strategic planning and resource allocation
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively
Interview Process:
Two rounds of virtual interviews via MS Teams with the Hiring Manager and Director
