🚨 Hiring: Security Control Analyst / Cybersecurity Specialist 🚨 | Toronto | Contract
I’m currently looking for a Security Control Analyst / Cybersecurity Specialist for a high-visibility opportunity with one of the Big 5 Canadian banks.

Role Details:
• Contract Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension

Role Focus:
You will support security control analysis, detection use case development, and risk mitigation activities across enterprise security environments.

What you’ll be working on:
• Building security content to detect security events using the MITRE Framework
• Conducting security control analysis across enterprise environments
• Working hands-on with SIEM, XDR, NGFW, and related security controls
• Supporting Data Loss Prevention and data discovery use case development
• Coordinating across teams to solve complex security problems
• Communicating findings, risks, solutions, and recommendations to senior leadership
• Supporting continuous improvement across security operations and control processes
• Creating quantitative and qualitative reports, data flow diagrams, and visual presentations

Must-have experience:
• 2–4 years of experience building security content for event detection based on MITRE Framework
• Hands-on technical experience with security controls such as SIEM, XDR, and NGFW
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention and data discovery use case development
• Strong experience creating reports, data flow diagrams, presentations, and analysis documentation
• Strong English communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills

Nice to have:
• Spanish proficiency
• Security Operations Centre experience
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CRISC
