About the Role

As the SEO Manager, you’ll be the go-to SEO expert for the Canadian and American region, working cross-functionally with the content marketing manager, paid media lead, and global SEO team. You’ll develop and execute strategic roadmaps that elevate visibility across traditional SERPs and emerging platforms like ChatGPT, influence content strategy, and oversee technical audits and implementation through collaboration with the web development team.

This is a high-autonomy, high-collaboration role — perfect for a seasoned SEO specialist looking to take the leap into a manager-level title and lead organic search strategy from end to end.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic SEO Leadership: Own the regional SEO strategy from roadmap creation through to execution. Lead initiatives that increase rankings, visibility, and organic lead generation.Content Strategy Collaboration: Partner with the content marketing manager to inform content creation, identify opportunities, and improve existing assets to align with SEO goals.Technical SEO Oversight: Conduct technical audits (site speed, crawlability, indexing, etc.), set priorities, and work with web developers to implement fixes.Cross-Channel Insights: Collaborate with the paid media team to share keyword data, trends, and performance insights for a unified SEM approach.Off-Page SEO: Manage link-building, digital PR initiatives, and partnership opportunities to improve domain authority and search performance.Data & Reporting: Regularly track performance using GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush (or similar), and share actionable insights and recommendations.Global Collaboration: Share and adopt best practices from SEO counterparts across six regions in a global network.

What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within an agency, SaaS, or performance-driven environmentDemonstrated experience with SEO strategy, not just executionStrong grasp of technical SEO, on-page/off-page SEO, and keyword researchExperience working within a CMS (e.g. Contentful or similar) and knowledge of tools like Google Search Console, GA4, and SEMrushAbility to work independently with little hand-holding – you’re proactive, self-directed, and results-orientedStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skills – you’ll be the voice of SEO across departmentsExperience working closely with content teams and understanding how content impacts SEO outcomesComfortable analyzing performance and communicating clear, quantifiable resultsPassion for meaningful work – interest in education, international student experience, or mission-driven industries is a major plus
