We’re Hiring: Scrum Masters (x8) – 12-Month Contract | Remote |
💼 Contract Length: 12 months (with potential 24-month extension)
🌍 Location: Primarily remote (occasional on-site in Edmonton)

🚀 Project Overview:
Join a major digital transformation initiative, working within the Digital Design and Delivery (3D) division — a centre of excellence for modern, user-focused, Agile service delivery.
As a Scrum Master, you’ll help lead cross-functional teams building better digital services for Albertans. You’ll drive agile best practices, facilitate ceremonies, mentor team members, and support delivery across 2–3 high-impact projects in ministries such as Justice, Education, and Social Services.
🧠 What You’ll Do:
Facilitate all agile ceremonies: planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros, and refinements
Coach teams and Product Owners on Agile delivery, backlog management, and roadmapping
Track and report on delivery progress using burndown charts, velocity, and Jira dashboards
Support user-centered design by contributing to research, testing, and iterative delivery
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within government delivery teams
✅ What You Bring:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) – active and in good standing (mandatory)
5+ years’ experience with agile software delivery in cross-functional teams
2+ years leading Agile ceremonies, mentoring teams, and aligning work to PO priorities
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and agile metrics reporting
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Previous experience with public sector or service design a big plus
🛡️ Security Requirements:
Must be able to obtain a Criminal Record Check
May require Enhanced Security Clearance or RCMP Top Secret Clearance depending on ministry
