Job Overview

The SAP FICO & Finance Solution Specialist plays a strategic role in architecting, configuring, and delivering end-to-end financial processes within a modern S/4HANA landscape. This position combines technical mastery with business acumen, advisory capability, and transformational leadership. The successful candidate will drive value across record-to-report, planning, consolidation, and enterprise performance management, while ensuring strong integration, compliance, and alignment with the client’s enterprise architecture and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities
Lead solution design and implementation for SAP FICO processes including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Project Systems (PS).
Drive integration with MM, SD, PP, EAM, and HR.
Translate business requirements into SAP-enabled solutions, conduct fit-gap analysis, and deliver projects using SAP Activate.
Develop reporting and analytics using SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud, embedded analytics, and BW/4HANA.
Identify risks, ensure SOX and regulatory compliance, and oversee master data management and migration.
Collaborate with ABAP, NetWeaver, and integration teams, provide post-go-live support, and deliver change management and training.

Solution Architecture & Governance
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture using tools such as LeanIX and Signavio.
Apply IMG/SPRO configuration expertise to support design validation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Business, IT, or related field.
10+ years of SAP FICO experience with 2+ full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
Expertise in financial close, IFRS/GAAP, SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, and data governance.
Experience in utilities or regulated industries is an asset.

Certifications & Education

SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP S/4HANA, or equivalent. Additional certifications in SAP S/4HANA, project management (PMP, Scrum Master), or data analytics (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud) are a plus.
Data governance or management certifications (e.g., CDMP, Collibra Ranger) are valued.
Cloud data engineering certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Data Engineer) are an asset.

Core Competencies

Deep SAP FI/CO expertise, strong integration and solution architecture skills, compliance focus, and stakeholder engagement.
