Risk Analyst

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for risk analytics and financial modeling? We are seeking a Risk Analyst with a robust background in risk systems and data analysis to join our dynamic team dedicated to supporting enterprise-wide regulatory and reporting initiatives.

📍 Location: Toronto, Ontario
📅 Duration: 12-month contract
📈 Level: Proficient (2–4 years of relevant experience)

🔧 What You’ll Do

– Conduct modeling exercises utilizing QRM or similar enterprise risk systems.
– Generate cash flows and reports to bolster system enhancements, ensure regulatory compliance, and introduce new functionalities.
– Aid in crafting mapping logic for source data feeds.
– Configure and extract position data, model customer behavior, and reconcile position data with the general ledger.
– Develop and submit regulatory reports in the required formats.

🎓 What You Bring

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
– Preferably a graduate degree in Business, Economics, or MBA.
– 2–4 years of pertinent experience in risk analytics, financial systems, or enterprise risk reporting.
– Proficiency in financial data mapping, data warehousing, and relational databases.
– Sound understanding of capital markets, banking products, and risk measurement methodologies (market, credit, or liquidity risk).

– Proficient in Advanced SQL and Excel.
– Experience with Access, PowerPoint, and data visualization/reporting tools.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Ability to navigate ambiguity and translate intricate requirements into actionable solutions.
