Primary Responsibilities
We are looking for an efficient Recruiter & HR Associate to support a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like supporting the full cycle recruitment process including requisition processing, job postings, applicant tracking, interviews, employment offers and onboarding and to provide support and assistance to the Human Resources department and HR initiatives. This role will also be responsible for the onboarding process of all Tree of Life employees as well as engagement and recognition, employee feedback, and other administrative tasks as required.
Essential Functions
Recruitment and Selection
Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
Collaborate with leaders to assess their team’s needs and carry out the entire recruitment process, including initial intake sessions, job postings, applicant screening, telephone prescreens, interview scheduling, reference checks, and the preparation and presentation of offer letters.
Oversee the hiring process to ensure compliance with employment procedures, accurate tracking of metrics, and weekly reporting.
Inform IT of new hire set up.
Send out all company announcements to welcome new hires.
Coordination and distribution of training logs
Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
Own the entire onboarding process for employees, including seating assignments.
Push talent acquisition plan forward by creating pipeline – attending job fairs, campus recruitment, etc.
Perform other duties and special projects as requested, and support various initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting Corporate Culture and Values.
Onboarding and Orientation
Ensure new hire paperwork is completed according to payroll timelines.
Responsible for best in class onboarding by partnering with leaders to organize, execute and follow-up on onboarding of employees.
Schedule all in-person or virtual orientation sessions.
Conduct orientation sessions and provide all onboarding material.
Ensure training logs are created and completed by leaders
Issue company gas cards and business cards where applicable
Enter new hires into all HRIS systems (Citation, Achievers, Greenhouse, etc).
Employee Feedback
Responsible for administering 30-60-90 day New Hire Check Ins – gather data for analysis.
Responsible for administering 90 day HR Stay Interviews – to gain feedback on process and make improvements as needed.
Recognition / Engagement
Manage in-house engagement site Elevate – upload new hire, terminations, moves, etc.
Recognition initiatives within organization – including warehouse recognition event.
Administration
Manage the in-house performance management system (Greenhouse) – including uploading new hires/terminations/employee moves, assisting employees with the inputting of goals and performance reviews and troubleshooting.
Keep all communication boards updated.
Provide administrative support to the VP and HRBP team members.
Manage HR calendar of events and ensure items are on track
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
Previous recruiting experience and knowledge of Human Rights regulations, employment law, human resources policies and procedures preferred.
Must be proficient with MS Office
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion and to work as part of a team.
French is an asset.
Must have excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with managers and associates in all departments and levels – tactful, mature, and flexible.
Requires a high level of skills in the performance of administrative support.
Ability to adhere to prescribed routines and practices; compose effective and accurate correspondence and handle non-routine matters and projects with minimal instructions or supervision.
Excellent grammar, verbal, and writing skills are necessary along with above average telephone skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities,
Individual must be resourceful, highly organized and have the ability to prioritize work.
