Role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure the reliability and quality of our software products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to establish and implement foundational testing practices while working on mission-critical software that serves defense and public safety organizations.
You will work closely with development teams and product owners to ensure the quality and reliability of our software platform. In this role, you’ll develop and execute test cases that validate critical functionality, identify potential issues before they reach production, and maintain clear documentation of testing processes. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate technical issues to help drive efficient resolution.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Planning
Develop comprehensive test strategies aligned with user stories and product requirements
Create and maintain detailed test plans and test cases to ensure thorough coverage
Partner with product and development teams to understand requirements
Document testing approaches based on product risk assessment
Test Execution
Perform thorough manual testing across all phases of the development lifecycle
Execute test cases with clear, detailed documentation
Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes don’t impact existing functionality
Provide regular status updates on testing progress
Bug Identification and Reporting
Identify and document critical issues early in the development cycle
Log defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot reported issues
Project Support and Communication
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews
Review and provide feedback on requirements and specifications
Work closely with development team and management to ensure quality standards
Prerequisites
Eligible for Government of Canada Top Secret security clearance.
Minimum 1-3 years of industry experience
Attention to detail
Strong analytical mindset
Expertise in integrating QA processes
