QA Lead

Urgent Full time role in Canada

Total Experience: 6-8 years
Required Skill Sets:
• Test Strategy Planning Define QA strategy, test approach, scope, and quality standards for projects releases.
• Create and oversee test plans, test cases, regression suites, and traceability matrices.
• Identify risks and dependencies and ensure quality gates are met across SDLC.
• Team Leadership Coordination Lead an onshore QA team and collaborate closely with offshore QA resources.
• Assign tasks, manage workload, and provide mentorship and technical guidance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning, refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
• Test Execution Quality Governance Drive execution of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and closure.
• Perform hands-on testing when required, including API and database validation.
• Ensure compliance with documentation, audit, and regulatory standards.
• Automation Continuous Improvement Work with automation engineers to enhance automation frameworks and coverage.
• Promote quality engineering best practices, including shift-left testing and CI/CD quality controls.
• Identify gaps in processes and propose improvements for efficiency and quality.
