Role: QA Engineer – ISO8583 / Connex

Location: Halifax, NS (Hybrid)

Term: Contract

Job Description:

Analyze business and technical requirements related to the Connex platform.
Create comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and integration testing.
Execute tests on payment processing systems including POS, and host systems integrated with Connex.
Knowledge of Mech system is good to have
Validate ISO8583 message formats and transaction flows through simulators or stubs.
Coordinate with developers, BAs, and operations to resolve defects and issues.
Automate repetitive tests using QA automation tools where applicable
Minimum 3–5 years of QA experience with strong understanding of FIS Connex or similar platforms.
Experience in testing ISO 8583 messages, ATM/POS transactions, and card-based payment processing.
Familiarity with Host Authorization Systems, Switch Simulation, and Transaction Lifecycle Testing.
Strong skills in Test Case Design, Defect Tracking (JIRA/ALM), and QA documentation.
