We are looking for an experienced QA AWS Lead on a contract basis in Toronto, ON. If you have strong expertise in data platform testing, AWS services, and automation, this is a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge DataOps initiatives.

🔍 Role Overview
As a QA AWS Lead, you will define and drive the end-to-end QA strategy for a modern DataOps platform, ensuring high-quality data across ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and consumption layers.

🛠 Key Responsibilities
Define and own QA strategy for DataOps platforms
Establish testing frameworks, standards, and governance aligned with enterprise SDLC
Ensure quality metrics, defect tracking, and release readiness
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity testing across:
Ingestion pipelines (batch & streaming)
ETL/ELT processes
Curated data layers & data products
Validate data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, lineage, and consistency
Conduct schema, metadata, and data access (entitlement) testing
Support data migration & legacy-to-cloud transitions
Drive test automation for data pipelines, APIs, and platforms
Integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
Validate AWS components: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Step Functions
Perform non-functional testing (performance, scalability, resiliency)
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards (Wealth Management)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Engineering, Business)
Support UAT and provide quality reporting dashboards

✅ Required Skills
Strong experience in QA for Data Platforms / DataOps
Hands-on expertise with AWS ecosystem
Proficiency in Selenium Test Automation (Mandatory)
Experience with CI/CD integration and automation frameworks
Solid understanding of data validation and ETL testing
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
