About The Opportunity:
If you’re passionate about storytelling through design and eager to lead the creation of compelling, high-impact proposals, this could be the perfect role for you. Prodigy is in search of a Proposal Manager to join our team! As a Proposal Manager, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including Prodigy’s People & Culture team, the Vice President of Pre-Construction, the Founding Partner, and other internal and external stakeholders, to deliver creative and technical work while engaging closely with colleagues and clients across the industry.
You will play a key role in providing insights and expertise to refine the Company’s project, marketing, and branding requirements into clear, engaging, and visually impactful materials and and be instrumental in coordinating company proposals for Prodigy’s pursuits. Additionally, you will manage the creation, drafting, editing, and review of technical proposal documentation.
Success in this role requires a wide range of skills, including expertise in visual design, editorial content, presentation design, user experience, and user interface. We’re looking for a big picture thinker and a clear communicator, one who can thrive independently or collaboratively on a wide range of projects. This role is not just about your creative insights and experience but evolving them and ensuring the result not only meets but exceeds Prodigy’s creative and strategic objectives.

As a Proposal Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
Develop and design for various mediums, creative concepts and ideas in line with Prodigy’s brand standards and industry trends for but not limited to the following:
Internal communications (digital, print) such as presentation slides, memos, information broadcasts, signage, event notices, etc.
External communications (digital, print) such as company brochures, social media updates, philanthropic partnerships, recruitment pamphlets, etc.
Contribute to brand storytelling through high-quality imagery, videos, and photo retouching.
Stay ahead of industry trends, new tools, and emerging technologies in design, branding, and marketing.
Lead the end-to-end process for proposal development including coordination, planning, improvement, and creation including but not limited to:
Review of Request for Proposal documents.
Filing, organizing, and distributing Proposal related documents.
Define and manage the proposal response plan, and internal communications associated with the proposal development.
Participate in proposal strategy meetings.
Creatively and effectively draft the complete layout, written, graphic, photo content specific to each proposal.
Manage, plan, and inform team on proposal development and prequalification’s for projects
Collaborate with management and operations teams to manage and maintain the bid schedule, develop content and source material for submissions
Assembly of all Proposal documents.
Support efforts to monitor submissions against proposal best practices and industry standards
Meet and collaborate closely with Prodigy and other team members to discuss projects and present deliverables as required.
Prepare files for digital and print production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Collection of data on client and projects schedules for the business.
Clerical and administrative duties as required.
Other tasks related to the position as assigned.
About You:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Five (5)+ years of direct graphic design experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced similar environment, and/or a construction management, general contracting or design-build firm.
Construction Proposals Management/Coordination experience is an asset.
Must have expertise in layout, composition, typography, and color theory.
Strong portfolio showcasing your design background and versatility.
Strong experience using:
MS Office Suite
Word
PowerPoint
Microsoft Outlook
Adobe Creative Suite
Photoshop
Illustrator
In-Design
Possesses very strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
Demonstrates a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
Demonstrates an ability to work in and support a strong team concept and be highly self-motivated and directed.
Demonstrates an ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Possesses exceptionally strong, professional, positive, effective, clear written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of CCDC Documents will be considered an asset
Possesses strong knowledge and demonstrates understanding of:
Graphic Design in Branding, Marketing (through variety of mixed media elements)
Social Media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Webpage, etc.) algorithms, account management, etc.
Web (Home Page) design and updates.
The above would be demonstrated by this candidate’s ability to not only create visually appealing, new graphic arts templates, elements and standards for Prodigy through many various mixed media formats, while modifying and elevating existing templates and currently used graphic elements Prodigy currently utilizes.
