Job Overview
The Project Technical Specialist provides technical support and guidance for assigned engineering projects.

Position Summary
This role serves as the primary technical point of contact, working closely with Project Management to resolve technical matters for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include design support, preparation of technical documentation, design verification, manufacturing support, and oversight of subcontracted engineering work.

Technical Documentation
Technical deliverables include design requirements, FMEA documentation, design plans, procedures, test plans, vendor specifications, and statements of work.

Design Review & Verification
Designs and drawings are reviewed to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.

Project Support & Coordination
Support is provided for project planning, risk management, scope control, procurement review, and preparation of technical requisitions.

Customer & Stakeholder Interface
The role may act as technical lead during customer interface events and design reviews, presenting technical information and project updates.

Manufacturing & Operations Support
Support extends to manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, operations, and resolution of technical challenges.

Testing & Quality Assurance
Testing strategies are developed to support design verification and client quality assurance requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Additional responsibilities include lessons learned documentation, rolling action items tracking, corrective actions, and health and safety support.

Qualifications

Candidates require post-secondary education in industrial or mechanical engineering or a related field.
A minimum of three years of project engineering experience is required, along with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are essential for success in this role.
