Exciting Opportunity: Senior Project Manager/Leader – OPS I&IT Initiatives

We want YOU to join our team and take on a pivotal role in managing large-scale, high-risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager/Leader, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that major projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, all while maintaining a sharp focus on cost-effectiveness and compliance with project management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage high-stakes, complex projects, ensuring alignment with client business requirements.
Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and costs, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, integrated plans, and budget forecasts.
Build and onboard cross-functional project teams, including employees and service fee consultants.
Identify potential risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Guide senior leadership with project updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
Foster collaboration across teams, resolving conflicts and promoting knowledge sharing to meet project objectives.
Manage large, multifaceted budgets, ensuring fiscal control, including estimates, forecasts, and reconciliation.
Promote I&IT project management standards and best practices to ensure quality and resource control.
Must-Have Qualifications:
8+ years of experience delivering AI and automation solutions.
5+ years managing financials at a program level, including operating and capital expenses.
3+ years working with third-party vendors in large-scale organizations.
Proven ability to lead project teams, manage high-risk projects, and develop strategic plans.
Strong understanding of government and ministry standards for I&IT projects.
Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks, including resource management, risk mitigation, and financial control.

Desirable Skills:
Expertise in the Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge.
In-depth knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.
Familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Experience recommending and acquiring software, hardware, and technology resources.
Ability to identify and resolve conflicts, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain strong client relationships.
Location: Hybrid (2 days a week onsite)
