Project Manager (IT) – Contract
Location: Remote (Onsite meetings as required – Edmonton, AB)
Rate: $60–$120/hour
Eligibility: Canadian Contractors Only

Overview
NORAMTEC’s client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large, complex application implementation. This role provides end-to-end coordination, governance, and accountability across internal teams and vendors, ensuring a smooth transition for staff and a seamless experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and vendors
Align Agile sprint execution with a Waterfall release plan
Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
Maintain project documentation, reporting, RAID logs, and dashboards
Oversee vendor performance, deliverables, and contractual commitments
Lead governance, working, and executive-level meetings
Ensure quality assurance, testing, data migration, and acceptance criteria are met
Coordinate change management, training, and go-live readiness
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and IM requirements
Support go-live, hypercare, and post-implementation review

Must-Have Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
8+ years experience managing large, complex IT/application projects
Strong experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models
Proven vendor management and stakeholder engagement experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
PMP and/or Agile certification
Public sector experience preferred
Experience with Azure DevOps, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams
Program Management experience
