Hays has partnered with a contractor in the Greater Toronto Area who are looking to add a Project Manager to the team. Located on the west side of Toronto, this contractor has been servicing clients for nearly three decades and predominately does commercial renovations. The current need is for an individual with base build experience.

Our client is looking for a Project Manager who has experience managing commercial construction projects up to 15M in value from inception through to completion.

 

Responsibilities include:

Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Resource Management: Allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.Budgeting: Manage project budgets and ensure cost control.Scheduling: Create and maintain project schedules.Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate project teams.Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets quality standards.Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Experience: 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the ICI sector.Experience managing base build construction projects from start to finish.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software.Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are often preferred.
