Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Manager- Data Governance/MS Purview and offers a unique opportunity to oversee critical data management and governance projects within a dynamic banking environment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex programs focused on establishing data governance frameworks using the latest Microsoft Purview tools, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, and driving project success through effective stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to deliver Data Management and Data Governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Develop, maintain, and track detailed project roadmaps, schedules, and milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Manage project scope, schedule, and resources, including change requests and issue resolution, to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
Facilitate and document team and executive meetings, prepare presentation materials, and support decision-making processes.
Oversee defect and issue tracking, escalating unresolved issues to appropriate teams, including technology vendors, for prompt resolution.
Collaborate closely with business and technology leads to gather financial inputs, develop forecasts, analyze variances, and produce executive-level financial reports.
Assist in managing the transition from project closure to Business As Usual (BAU), including creating transition plans and ensuring all project documentation and compliance requirements are met.
Support the implementation of Microsoft Purview SaaS, leveraging existing Microsoft Office tools for planning and reporting.
Desired Skill-Set

Over 10 years of IT Project Management experience, with a proven track record leading complex technology initiatives.
3-5 years of Program Management experience, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of program and project management principles, including schedule, scope, and change management.
Experience implementing technology solutions within a financial services environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to effectively collaborate with business and technology teams to drive project outcomes.
Nice to Have

Prior experience with Data Management and Data Governance projects.
Familiarity with Microsoft Purview SaaS platform, though familiarity with the tool is not required at the outset.
Previous experience working within a banking or enterprise financial institution.
