$40.00 – $75.00 per hour
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager – Intermediate to support large-scale, complex, and high-profile I&IT initiatives. This role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple stakeholders, oversee project delivery, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Provide project and program management for large, complex, high-risk I&IT initiatives
Ensure deliverables meet business requirements on time, within scope and budget
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and integrated plans
Monitor, forecast, and report on project costs and financial performance
Lead cross-functional teams and ensure adherence to government and client standards
Promote project management best practices and standard methodologies
Coordinate project activities, processes, and reporting across stakeholders
Manage resource planning, onboarding, and performance expectations
Resolve resource conflicts and facilitate effective team collaboration
Develop and manage complex project budgets across multiple funding channels
Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
Present issues, risks, and updates to senior executives and stakeholders
Facilitate steering committees and stakeholder forums
Support organizational change management and stakeholder adoption
Ensure compliance with OPS I&IT standards, policies, and best practices
General Skills & Experience
Strong leadership in organizational development, strategy, and business planning
Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, and deliverables
Experience with cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to develop project guidelines, processes, and procedures
Experience managing both unionized staff and external consultants
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK)
Understanding of Information Management principles and practices
Familiarity with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
Experience recommending technology solutions (software/hardware)
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
Ability to manage client relationships and expectations effectively
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of experience in project/program management
Experience managing project schedules, scope, and deliverables
Proven ability to gather and define requirements and maintain project plans
Experience leading project teams to deliver on time and within standards
Strong experience resolving resource and interpersonal conflicts
